    Aptasia Eaters

A good read is to Google Berghia Nudibranch. These little critters eat nothing but Aiptasia! Unfortunately, once the Aiptasia are gone the Berghia will die out since that is their only food source. The article I read said to continue to grow Aiptasia in another tank at least for them to feed on.

    ? on mushrooms multiplying

They will "drop kids" and drop, and drop, and drop, and drop, soon they will take over. Good trading material though..

    New Green Goniopora

Be careful! This coral is a lot nastier than it looks like. One, they are a little hard to keep, I've seen most die after about 18 months to 2 years, and, two, keep them about 6" to 8" away from any other coral you really want to keep. The Goniopora has tentacles that come out (usually at...

    Large Toadstool not extending tentacles

They do not like strong water flow, Have you put any phosphate reducing chemical in the water table? The aluminum based ones they do not like either. And like said before, they could be shedding. (they look like crap when they do this)

Help ! What can be the problem ?

Are you talking about the brown stuff? If so, that looks like a diatom bloom to me. Do a water change, but let the diatom bloom do it's thing. They almost always do that at the start of a new tank. I believe it's part of the process.

    Blue Hippo Tang HELP!

Hippo's do tend to act like that when stressed, either by new tank or new tank mates, etc. They will go into hiding, and fade to almost a lt. blue to white color. I would give it a few days maybe turn lights off for a while and let it get settled in.

    What salt do you use?

I have used Tropic Marin Reef Pro for years, yes it's expensive, but the added trace elements seem to do pretty good. I too had thought about going to Reef Crystals but probably won't change from the Tropic Marin...

    Redsea Aiptasia-x

They are called Berghia Nudibranch. They are somewhat expensive, and they do multiply. The thing about the Berghia is they only eat aiptasia, once the tank is eradicated of them, if aiptasia is not entered into the tank a little every now and then the Berghia will die. If you had 20 of them...

    Red Coraline Algee

Did you take the aquarium down after you purchased it? Maybe to move it or something? If so, it sounds like the Coraline was out of the water for a time which will cause it to die and turn white. It's not really a big deal you just have to get it growing again.

Who is eating my Green Button Polyp

Check to see if you have a sundial snail. Search this site for a picture. Neat looking snails but are death to polyps. There are also some worms that feast on corals. Google Steve Weast and go to his site and see what he found in his tank. I don't think this against the rules if so...

GE silicone II GOOD OR BAD

I know that the silicone II is latex (water) based. I don't think I'd use anything other than 100% pure silicone rubber.

    LED lights, any repair?

    Does Anybody Suppliment Their Xenia?

Xenia......The first time I thinned out my Xenia I had it growing on the sides, back, front, everywhere. I traded 80 + stalks as big as your thumb to the local lfs. I have given them to everyone in our reef club. I have 500 watts of 14k mh's and t-5's as well.
