Are they just going to be on a small rock? If so just glue the rock where you want them and they will probably, quickly mat over the rocks etc. I would even try it with 100 bucks worth of polyps... Kyle

Tubastrea (sun coral). Thats cool you just have 1 polyp. Alot easier. I hade one with 80 or so polyps and it was a pain in the a.. Kyle

Thanks conch, I am trying. A few are loosing a little color. I am running the 14k single ended bulbs and they have shifted color so much it's pathetic. So you know what I asked for christmas?...2 pfo double ended pendants...haha Already have the hqi/electronic ballast and also ordered 2 20k...

Sorry I'm on this trip about halides... Yeah you can keep a "certain" few healthy and growing under pcs. Like a bubbletip, longtentacle, and a few others, but carpets etc wouldn't make it. Sorry about that. 4x65w would be enough... Shoot to tell you the truth I have done it, and am doing it...

Dacia made a good point. Upgrade the lights to maybe a 150-250w hqi pendant about 12" off the water with a 20k bulb, that would be really nice. Also I would consider a decent skimmer and a sump, also some more flow. Kyle

If you really want to get nice, got with a dual electronic ballast, 2 reef optix, or pfo double ended pendants, 20k bulbs w/o actinic supplements. W/o the actics it would be cooler etc, and alot more light. Or you could go with 10k de bulbs and vho actinics. I am just telling you this because...

Have you thought of going low nutrient with a good skimmer and starboard bottom (barebottom, cutting board)?

Give that baby water changes and ca/alk and it will grow huge...

Watts per gallon means nothing to an anemone. It's the intensity and type of light. Get 2x150,175 or 250w halides, probably as cheap as those pcs. Depending on the anemone you may still be able to keep it ok. Kyle
