    who knows the answer (gbta)

when it starts to melt is the most definitive sign. Sometimes they can look very dead (ie, guts coming out of the mouth) and then perk back up a few hours later.

    How does this happen???????????????????

I have never seen an acan completely lose its flesh in 24 hours. I had one die in my tank a while back and it took a week for all the flesh to come off under high flow. Did he say it arrived looking exactly like that? Something doesnt add up man.

    Saltwater expiration date?

I keep saltwater mixed for weeks in a 30gal barrel in my garage. I do keep a power head running in there. Saltwater sealed in jugs will be fine for quite a while. Just give it a good shake before you add it to the tank to oxygenate it.

    lightbulb??

Typically, SE bulbs have a mogul base and are 175w, 250w, 400w, and 1000w. Double Ended bulbs (HQI) are run in 150w, 250w, etc... While searching for a bulb for you. I noticed that there were a few SE 150w bulbs for a 'medium' base MH bulb. However I could not find any of these bulbs in a color...

    lightbulb??

It says that light has a color tempurature of 4000k. that is well below the desired color of lights for aquariums. Things will grow under it. But the tank will look a dull yellow-orange color. Find a light with a color temp between 10,000k and 20,000k

    Name this Coral

I would just return it to where it was. Some things taken from the beach can have pollutants or parasites that can harm your tank.
