Im not sure where you can find one, My lfs has them occasionally.
But yet, they eat algae like crazy. And they actually move pretty fast for being a slug type thing. Mine eats more than the snails in my tank do.
can you post a pic? Im still kinda confused as to what it is exactly. At first I had pictured a sun coral that was kind of pink in color. But After googling carnation coral that doesnt seems to be it.
Anyway post a pic. i may still take it.
Do you know what kind of brain it was? Lobo or weso or what?
also- what kind of lighting comes with the aquapod? I'd imagine on a 12gal its not going to be adequate for a brain of any type.
Lumens are just a unit of measure for the intensity of the light. The more lumens the brighter the light. They dont tell anything about the color spectrum like the kelvin scale does.
I have 3 of the coral-life dual strips on my 29gal. Its definitly not enough light for sps or clams with high light requirements. I have a derasas clam that is very happy though.
I think you will need a better lighting system to keep sps in your tank. Possibly one of the nova setups by current.
I've had this red slime on some of my zoo colonies for some time. It started on some yellow polyps and killed them off and now it has just about taken out my green zoo's.
the slime starts and base and then grows to cover the whole polyp. eventually they will quit opening and slowly just whither...
2 liter bottle fishtrap. put a little food inside it a just watch it and wait for the damsel to swim in. I've taken 5 damsels out of my system this way including 2 today.
edit: I usually cut off the mouth of bottle right under the cap, make it just big enough for the damsel to swim into.
depends on a few things-
how long have you had the brain. IE- was get better when you got him and now he has skeleton showing?
have you been moving him around a lot? they dont like to be moved.
as long as he is still inflating and responding to feeding then i dont think you have too much to...
