    My 37g

I think the flame will be fine but you will definitely be close to your limit. What kind of filtration do you have? I've never had the teddy bear crabs, but they are supposed to be peaceful.

    vacuuming substrate

with only a 1 inch sand bed, i wouldn't be too concerned about releasing toxins. I gravel vac my sand from time to time. You'll suck up some sand in the process, but not too much if you're careful.

    Aiptasia problem.

Whichever method you choose, you should also add some peppermint shrimp. They will keep the aiptasia from growing back.

setting up fish tank with eel

I've had both of those eels, and they have a very similar temperament. I would go with the barred moray, but only because they aren't as common. Both are nice looking eels in my opinion.

    turkey baster ?

yes the chaeto will consume phosphates and nitrates. Any kind of algae feeds on these. You could build an algae scrubber or add other macro algaes. Mangroves also help. There are also filter pads that remove phosphates that you can probably find at your local fish store.

    CUC question?

I like nassarius snails a lot. They help stir up the sand and will come out of the sand to eats detritus. It is cool to watch them erupt from the sand when you feed. Also they have been the hardiest snails ive had. I put two in my tank that have lived almost 2 yrs and through two tank moves.

Can I add another fish ?

A sump doesnt have to be expensive. Get a cheap tank (a 30 long or even a 55 would be great). Add a little rock and some macro algae to it and you would have a much better setup, imo.

    I'm Thinking Of An Animal...

It has to be a cuttlefish you're thinking of. There are many varieties. As stated, search for flamboyant cuttlefish.

I'm actually only 23. Just get disgusted at how poorly people write, especially younger people. By the way, sorry for the post, it was counter-productive.

    Blood parrots.

Yea, I always find it funny when customers see blood parrots and say "this is the happiest fish I've ever seen." No, it just has a deformed looking mouth that looks like a smile. We sell the painted parrots too, and that just seems wrong to me. And fishtaco, I have no idea how the electric blue...

New guy here. A few questions...

I gotcha, sand is cleaner, but I wouldn't personally swap it out. You'll just have to vacuum it like you would freshwater gravel.

New guy here. A few questions...

a 55 gallon is 48 long by 12 wide by 21 high. Not sure why you would have to add live sand. the sand you have in there is live. "live" just means that it has bacteria growing in it. Putting live sand in a tank when you first set it up justs speeds things up, regular dry sand grows bacteria in time.
