if that is what you like then go for it, it still think it is a wee bit crowded for my taste, and remember you still haven't added coral, but you are the one who has to go through the alge bloom not me:)
I usually do not change the water, just top it off, and this tank is sweet, everything is in minature form, for example the emerald is about the size of a dime if that big
there may look like a lot of room i am not talking about that, i was concerned about how many gallons of water they actually have to swim in, don't they need so much oxygen from the water to live?
I an sorry i hope your plate gets better, they are my favorite, i would try moving him higher in the tank, and see if that helps, they usually do better closer to the lights.
I have them all over my tank, you can scrape them off if you want or just leave them and your fish will eat them, they will not turn into snails unless they are in a tank by their selves

Not much wish i could do the math for you but i think (correct me if i am wrong) you only really need just 1 pound of...
Post a pic if you have it, but i think a lot of us would like to have your problem:D it is just probably coriline (however you spell it) and you want it to grow on the rocks and the back of the glass etc... it is an awsome "problem to have"
