Phosphate test kits are notably unreliable! More than likely phosphates and silicates are the cause. You may want to consider a phosphate remover such as PhosBan or RowaPhos in a fluidized bed type reactor.

After using other models over the years I am Euroreef all the way! IMO worth every penny!!!

It could be. I had a hard time keeping my CA up when I used to dose and I know my corals weren't getting it all. I used to have to prune my Halimeda once a week when I had Fla aquacultered rock which was covered in Halimeda. That was a lot of calcularous growth in a short amount of time!
