    Starting a Business

Yea, I think an S-corp will be good for you. When I started my corporation, I used an accountant. He charged $750, but a lawyer was gonna charge me like $1000. In TX, btw. Also, I don't know if you'll have employees or not, but if you do, you should look into an employee leasing company...

    Failed Clown Pairing

Seriously, there has to be someone with experience in mating clowns. Will somebody please help me? I am not concerned about the sick clown. He got harassed and stressed out. What I would like to know is if there is a better way to pair clowns than how I did it. I do not want to lose fish...

    Failed Clown Pairing

While I do not claim to be an expert on fish disease by any means, I think it was probably brooklynella. If it was, it definately wasn't as severe as the pictures in Beth's write-up. His fins were pretty ruffed up (just from her biting him I presume). I don't know. Maybe he didn't really...

    Failed Clown Pairing

I recently attempted to pair two maroon clowns. I bought a large one (~3") and a small one (~1") and added them to the tank at the same time. The large one harassed the small one for the first few days (which, from what I've read, is to be expected). She really didn't attack him that...

    No SNOWFLAKE!!!

I had a barred moray eel that was great. Very similar temperament to my snowflake. You will run into the same issues as with any eel in a reef (mainly that they will eat your small shrimp/crabs). But, other than that, it won't bother your corals.

Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish w/ other fish

Fuzzy dwarfs can basically be put with any fish that is not small enough for them to eat. They will not harm any fish unless they see them as food. Some of the more aggressive puffers and triggers can sometimes nip at a lionfish's fins and may not be suitable. My fuzzy dwarf is in a tank with...

    Fu Manchu Lion fish

I have a fuzzy dwarf and he is awesome. Ate frozen from day one. He is with a snowflake eel and a freckled hawk and they all get along great. I have snails and nobody bothers them. I also agree they are not aggressive at all. As long as a fish wont fit in their mouth they'll leave it alone...

Help me with feeding my lionfish

Thanks. Have you used fresh garlic though? My main reason for the garlic is the possible immune system boost. I've read that extracts may not be as beneficial (assuming there's any real benefit, which depends what study you read). But, I certainly dont see any downside. I'm gonna get a garlic...

Help me with feeding my lionfish

Not to highjack this thread (okay thats exactly what i intend to do ). But, I just got my radiata today, and I need to get him to eat. I haven't even tried feeding him yet, but im sure its gonna take some doing. Would ghost shrimp be the best live feeder assuming he doesnt accept the frozen...

Scared of the Eel, need some help picking tankmates

"Also If I keep the eel fed well ( I buy frozen cocktail shrimp, is this bad?) " If these cocktail shrimp are pre-cooked they probably aren't too nutritious. You should get raw ones.

    Proper lighting for coralline growth?

Thank you all for the advice. Well, I have a 50/50, so it sounds like I'm fine with the lighting. I also bought the calcium and alkalinity buffer, I just haven't started using it until I get test kits for them. Thanks again.

    Proper lighting for coralline growth?

I recently set up a fish only tank that has live rock in it. I do not intend to keep any corals/inverts, however, I would like to get the coralline algae to grow on my live rock. What is the minimum lighting that I need to achieve this? My tank is a 29 gal. Also, what levels do I need my...

    Is it a good idea?

I agree with ccampbell. These fish can be pretty aggressive. The only thing that I could suggest that I've had success with in the past, if you really want the trigger now, is to put him in, and when you're ready to add the tangs, isolate him in the sump or QT for a few days while the tangs...

    Salt for fish-only tank

I am starting a fish only tank (all aggressive) and I am wondering what salt is best. When I had my tank before, I always used Oceanic because it was cheap and mixed well. However, I've been told that it is poor quality and has few trace elements. Thanks for any help.

    Lionfish wanted DFW area TX

This is probably a long shot, but I am interested in buying a blackfoot lionfish. I will buy from anywhere and pay the shipping. I also would be interested in a descent sized radiata or other lionfish if close to the Dallas area.
