One LFS told me they love them, another said they were just pushy. I thought the prices were more, but maybe not. Over on -- I had read good things about them. I would think they would be better than Seachem.

I thought the Iwasaki 15k is supposed to be the best 175 by far. What Ive read its like a freak with PAR, but maybe that with a different ballast? Google "Par buster iwasaki"

its a red hair algae or some other similar type. Honestly, I wouldnt worry about it too much. The algae is growing on a dead part of the monti, so if you can remove it, good. Just so long as it doesnt get any larger, it wont affect the monti, just look better if you can pick it off. The...

looks dead and based on the info here, looks like it wasnt acclimated to the light properly. Theres no problems with your water parameters. You need to adjust your photoperiod or place the coral low in the tank and slowly raise it up to the final spot.
