    ? of Birds Nest

honestly, it wouldnt be too bad to try a monti cap or monti digi. I have pieces of orange monti cap that have broken off and are practically in the shade and are still orange. They dont grow much, but they have kept most of their color. So maybe an orange or green cap would be something easy...

    cut die-off?

Cutting it probably is not a bad idea, but I usually just let it grow back over the algae covered area. Sometimes cutting will results in it growing off in new directions, which could be favorable.

Metal halide hqi replacement bulb question

I switched from 2x150w Aqualine ABs to 2x150w Phoenix 14ks and am really happy with them. I have mostly SPS and the colors are great. Still getting great growth, although probably a bit less than with the 10k ABs.

How do you learn your SPS quickly?

Trial and error and reading was how I found out. I read a lot on the SPS forum of -- as well.

How long does it take sps to regain it's color if lost during shipping?

it also could take a few weeks to a month. it depends on how "brown". Ive bought brown sps from a LFS and after a few months it turned blue or purple. Most likely if it turned a brown shade from shipping it will bounce back quicker than my examples.

    Bad Crab!!! (Fish Killer!!)

Ok, Ive mysteriously lost a few fish in the past year or so and I wasnt really sure why. I blamed my blue-green chromis for the death of 2 flasher wrasses, but then I lost my red lip blenny and he completely disappearred. Then about a month ago I saw the legs of an unknown crab in a hole in...

Which MH Bulb should I use?

I have 2x150w over my 65g. I use 150w Phoenix 14k bulbs and Ive heard very good things about the 250w Phoenix bulbs. If youre going to use 20k, the Radiums have the best reputation and color that Ive seen.
