check out hello lights as well. The problem with a single light is that you tank likely has a brace in the middle and so if you only get the single MH bulb, the brace will create a shadow. So generally, you need 2x150w or 2x250w to avoid the shadow.

Max, what is a lonely MJ1200 going to do in a 215g? In your smaller foam tank it would be fine, but in a 215, it needs a sureflow 1600 kit or something. Still a sweet project and looks great!

Indirect light through a window will not be enough for any coral IMO. Just buy a timer with multiple plugs (2-stage maybe?) and it will turn the moonlights on when the main lights turn off. I have 3 sets of lights on one timer power strip: halides, actinics, and moonlights. Costs somewhere...
