What kind of lights did you upgrade from? I have heard that you have to acclimate the corals to more powerful lights if you upgrade...But I don't have any experience with this...

Okay everyone, I have an update for you! Over the weekend I cleaned out the entire back compartment of my tank! All the pumps, tubings, etc. There was quite a bit of gunk back there.... I also siphoned out the back compartment to try to get as much of the detritus out of the water as possible...

Hmmm.... I think it is more common for the clowns to get darker in areas when they host.... I have never heard of one getting lighter.....Very interesting! Maybe she is just really really happy!

Can you siphon the dust up? I think you could safely put your filter sponges back in to catch the debris, and then remove them later on but I am not positive... Maybe someone else has some thoughts...

Thanks to both of you for your help... AlMc~ I covered the back of the tank with black paper as well. My only concern is that when the tank is viewed from the front, it looks like the bottom is reflective. However, when I open the lid and look from the top, the reflection is gone.... I am hoping...

I only have one fish in there so I dont think my bio load is too high... I can't visibly see anything dead or dying... THe only filter pad I have is the small disks on the Phosban...Is that what you are refering too, Alex

What do you mean by filter media? I dont have any bioballs or sponges in the back or anything.... Just pumps, heaters, etc. Maybe that is my problem?
