http://photos-049.ak.facebook.com/ip...168049_734.jpg My first one, I got it on the first day of school this year...and I fainted and they had to use 3 smelling salts to wake me up, so I won't be getting another one for a while. But I really want one on my wrist, so eventually I'll be brave again.

    Having Ice Cream!!!

lol, so once when I was about 5 maybe my dad was scooping me icecream and he kept teasing me that he was going to put it in the microwave and I was getting really mad...and then I started to cry. Things haven't changed much since then, I like it as cold as possible while still being able to...

    marine biologist??

I would fit more into the aspiring marine biologists category. I'm in my second year of college now, major in bio and spanish, but I've got to get my grades up if I want to have a career as a researcher (which I do!).

    Fishing

I don't like saltwater fishing because I'm weak. My dad and uncle go fishing every summer in the boonies of alaska and last summer they finally invited me to go with them. So I learned to fly fish and basically spent four days in the most wild place I've ever been catching and releasing rainbows...

    Blue leg hermits

Yes, the hide while they molt because they are unprotected. I have "assorted hermits" in my tank and the blue ones always seem to go down first, not sure why. My unscientific assesment would be that they are fiesty :) Having some extra shells for them to switch to seems to help keep their...

    snow flake eels

I have never heard that they grow to 36 inches. I hear as an average about 2 1/2 feet. As far as feeding I was told feed more often when it is younger, I feed every day, and as it gets older feed every 2 or 3 days.

How big of tank for a SFE for life?

I have mine in a 55. It's a baby now so I can't say whether it is absolutely adequate but I asked around a lot before I bought him and most people said it would be just fine. I bought him with the idea of NOT upgrading, so I can't say from experience it will work but I can say that I asked a lot...

    Stocking List Help

If you are interested in an agressive or semiagressive a snowflake eel would be a good choice, they eat primarily crustaceans and would definitely fit in a 90. If you narrow down your interests a bit (color, size, temperment) I'm sure people could give you some good options.

    newbie tank set-up help

You should read a book if your trying to learn, it's the best way to get information compacted into 1 nice location. The Conscientious Marine Aquarist or The New Marine Aquarium are both good books.

    snails and crabs

There are some packages on this site that can give you a clue, but they span a wide range so it's hard to tell. I've heard 1 per 2 gallons. What i've been doing is buying about 5/10 crabs/snails each week or 2. I'll be doing this until everything seems clean. I like this approach because I am...

    Urchin, Anemone Info

I'm not sure exactly what you wanted out of a photo, so here's a full and close up: I have a glass tank so that's not a problem and my rock is secure and most pieces are really large. Would you say that I should wait unti algae is prominent in my tank or can its diet be suplemented by nori...

    Urchin, Anemone Info

So, six months seems to be the cut off to declare a tank mature, from what I read on here, I just want to be sure. I don't know anything about lights, I'm not planning on having a reef tank for the most part, but I think an anenome would be cool. Looks like right now it's not going to work w/the...
