    Colored gonoporia from saltwaterfish

I remember when I got this one it took about 1-1/2 weeks to open up(I thought it was doomed) and that was a little over 8 months ago. It has been doing very well for me so far. It is normally fully extended but my Foxface brushed against it right before I took this picture. Maybe yours will come...

Red alge on the sand bed

I would only use a chemical as a last resort because of the risk associated. Make sure you are using RO/DI water and do a water change, increase the flow in your dead spots where the cyano is growing and make sure you are not over feeding as stated above. It will clear up in a few days. You can...

    What is this

Probably detritus(poop) my angel will have a string of it running out. ( I guess their poop cutter isn't as sharp as other fish)

need an id on this patch of stuff

Also make sure you don't over feed because this contributes to the outbreak of cyano and other nuisance algae that you can't get rid of quite as easy.

need an id on this patch of stuff

No more than that pic is showing you could siphon that out or just get a flow through that area and it should clear up.

Red alge on the sand bed

Sounds like cyanobacteria. Do a search on here to make sure. If that is what you have it will be growing in the dead flow areas of your tank and you will need to increase flow and it should subside.

need an id on this patch of stuff

I recommend getting some flow to that area because it looks like it is not getting much if any. Looks like a build up of detrius and maybe some cyanobacteria starting to form.

can a goby be put with a blenny?

My LB did a few swim-bys on my diamond goby the first day but paid know attention to it after that day. My LB always greets any fish I introduce to the tank no matter how big or how small but has never been overly agressive. It can be a crap shoot whenever you introduce new fish. By the way when...

    blenny nutrition

Mine will eat nothing but algae but I have read of others on here that say theirs community feeds. Sleek body with a fat belly = a healthy LB

Ammonia, trites & trates are all zero. SG(1.026) PH 8.3 Temp 78-79°. Calcium, iodine, magnesium the rest of the trace elements are standard with water changes(try to do bi-monthly but sometimes I get lazy). I used to dose some things in the past but just stick with water changes now.

    urchin question...

I had the purple pincushion. The blue will be fine. Just acclimate like you would any invertabrate. It will not harm other than picking it up and toting it around. You may have to rescue a hermit from time to time if you have any. You just pick it up like you pick up an apple. If it is attached...

    urchin question...

Urchins are very good algae eaters(unfortunately coralline included). They do tend to knock things over and pick up hermits, frags or whatever and piggyback ride it around the tank. They will eat on algae sheets if you don't have enough growing in your tank.

    Anemone looking kinda rough. Help?

A pic would be helpful if possible. The anemone will move where it feels is the most appropriate spot. They will extend their tentacles to the light if they feel they are not getting enough.

    "Reef compatible" Sabae Anemone Question

No anemone is really reef safe because of their ability to move. Some have more potent stings than others. Some corals are even worse on the anemone. Just monitor and be prepared to move any corals that may be in reach.

    freckled hawkfish???

I can't speak for the Freckled. I have a Falco Hawkfish and it does not mess with any of my inverts and loves to get cleaned by my fire shrimp.
