I have the "cheaper RS-80" skimmer and I swear by Euro-reef. I've never had a problem getting any parts, mainly because the skimmer is very reliable and I have not had to replace anything. Maybe I'm just lucky. Anyway, I think there are good skimmers!

For what it's worth, I like (and have) a Euro-reef. It's been a great skimmer for the last five years. It's simple, basically "plug-and-play". Just my 2 cents.

Brown clam Blue clam and a 4 cylinder BMW 318i, not diesel.

Here's a picture of the clams my wife got the other day. We traded some frog spawn that was growing out of control in our tank for some clames. The other picture is from my car. I know it's not related to "the hobby" but I just went over 200,000 miles! Cheers!

My clarkii bites at me to! It's very annoying, especially when I'm trying to clean the tank. He is very protective of "his space".

Euro-reef!

If it were my neighbor (and a good one) I would let them purchase everything and I would set it up. It would not cost me anything but my time. Neighbors fall into that weird "extended family, sort of" catagory. I'm always over at my neighbors (single mom) hooking up her stereo, connecting her...

I just use a Whisper that was rated for a 12 gal tank. It took couple of days to get the setting correct, but it has worked just fine for me since. I picked it up at wal mart for $15.00. I'm also interested in a heater that is not "just in the tank" and an eye sore.
