I got rid of all four of my emeralds because they would rather pick at my corals than the algae. I actually caught them eating trumpet, zenia, and goniopora. So the answer is YES! HTH, B

Almost a year since setup. Six months since I switched it to a full reef. We just moved in mid-December, so I'm going to wait a little while before adding a clam(just to make sure everything's completely stable again) So far, so good. B

The tank is 18 inches deep. And I do have a nice spot close to the top to place one. Haven't really decided what kind, just figured I'd find out if it's even possible first. Thanks, B

I have both PC, and VHO on the same tank. The blue color of the VHO's is way better than the pc's. I just switched my actinics to VHO this weekend. I don't know about the color/intensity of the daylight VHO bulbs, because I've never had those. But if I had to choose one or the other, I'd go VHO...

I like the color of the tank now. The actinic takes away the yellowish color of the 6500k. I wouldn't like them without the actinic supplement. B

I think I'm into my 75 gal about 3 grand. Just got VHO's to add to the PC's, so there's a couple hundred more. I'm building a refugium soon, at least another hundred there(probably more). It's never finished, but it's getting nicer every week :D My relatives have stopped trying to shop for me...
