How to Attach mushrooms etc to rocks

I'd be interested in an answer to this puzzle as well. I have a couple of mushrooms that have attached to crushed coral but when I try to use the crazy glue gel underwater I still cannot get it to stick reliably to the rock. I find the mushrooms floating around the tank again later that day.

    Sediment in QT

I've been running a quarantine tank for a few months now. The last 6 weeks it's been empty. I mix new water it goes into my display and old water from display goes into QT and the old QT water gets pitched. I've noticed that I have alot of sediment building on the PVC pipe in the QT. It's not a...

    Trading Corals to LFS

I've had some really successful growth in my xenia and star polyps and I'm thinking of trading to my LFS for credit. What are your experiences in doing this kind of trade? Let's say a similar coral sells for $50 should what percentage should I expect to get back on the item? 50%? 75%? Thanks for...

    Salt Brands

I switched from Instant Ocean to Reef Crystals. With IO I always had to dose calcium as levels were usually around 200 to 250. With Reef Crystals my calcium starts between 400 and 450. Basically I don't have to dose any longer.

    Tired of Prism Skimmer

GSD & alyssia have you used any of the higher end skimmers before? I've heard complaints about the CSS that are similar to the problems I've had with the prizm. What about the Deltec MCE600 or the AquaC Remora Pro? Another thought is what about an external skimmer? Anyone have suggestions for...

    Tired of Prism Skimmer

I've had it with my Red Sea Prism Deluxe skimmer (what a waste of money). I could adjust the thing 10 times a day and it would still either run dry, overflow, and spit a gazillion microbubbles into the tank. So I'm going to replace it. I could use a recommendation for something good...

    Clumsy Snail

Well I moved him to a rock in a higher flow area. The next day he had fallen from the rock to the bottom but was right side up. Later that day he had moved and has been active all week. So I must have caught him before he starved to death.

High Alkalinity in New Salt Mix

Using Salifert test kits after new saltwater has been mixing for a few days to a week. For a reef I've read that calcium of 450 is ideal.
