if you want ammonia to be at 0, why would you add ammonia? dont everrr do that.. just give it some time. chances are you shouldnt have a long cycle since you have established rock and live sand. id give it another week or 2 before you can add a cuc. dead inverts produce ammonia..keep testing...

test your water..is your tank in direct sunlight? if so get it out!

idk i guess its me. i had a FO tank trates at 70ish, 65 gal. i bought a few fish from SWF and within days they all died. it was nothing else, got my water tested from a few LFS and some near by hobbyists who all agree it was my trates..i guess mine was a freak incident..

if bioballs are not cleaned, they will raise your nitrate level. they need to be rinsed off often.

but u said theres LR rubble and something else in it. there's your source. since you got your sailfin coming in soon, turn it off, do a huge water change, get some chaeto and make a fuge in ur sump.
