from what i can see, its aiptasia. get a closer pic of it.. does itlook like this? if so get rid of it now. aiptasia X or joes juice. aiptasia x works better imo. aiptasia is a horrible pest. it will continue to spread until ur tank is covered with it.

did you already buy the K-2? be careful with the K-2's, i went through 3 of them..I came home to a broken K-2 in my tank. luckily it was off. k-2's have a plastic clamp with 2 turn screws for tightening. IMO and in my experience, that plastic clamp is not strong enough to hold up a metal halide...

since you are new to the hobby, i really recommend you try to find a lfs that you can trust, before they rob you for every dollar that you have and every dollar you are going to have in the near future. i never regretted buying from swf..kim is really nice and extremely helpful..do some...
