    hmmm that seems sort of short.....I keep my mh lights on for about 12 hours and actinic lights for 14...........this reflects how much light a coral reef recieves in the summer (the season of highest growth rate for corals) in nature...just my oppinion....the best reef is gowing to be the one...

    one thing u will notice on this board is some ppl's comments sound rude because they are so ...................... in love with fish (me being one of them). But they really mean welll personally i would wait intill week 12 and add some polyps high in the tank (i would say that is your best bet)

    its a nice act but up here in d.c. they sell at least 2 "dory's" every week to little kids its sad so it is sort of useless :(

    well if it looks slimmy and isn't at all translusent i would say cyno but if it is sort of transulitiont and looks ether hairy or like a film it is algea (IMO not sure if i can be sure with out a pic sorry)

    return them i never get damsels they always fight no matter what if you really don't want to return them try putting a mirror on the sides of the glass to make them fight with there reflection (keeps them distracted fro real damsels) but i would return them

    a lot easier to take of (feeding requirements) IMO than anthias and you can school flasher wrasses to (not sure but i think i would double check my comment there) but in the end it is what you think is cool looking

    if you have a top on your tank i think reef-safe wrasse's are the most gorgous fish... like a sixline wrasse or a red maroon wrasse or flasher wrasse

    well what i find is helpful is if you put culpera (however you spell it) in there and let it flout above the live rock and sand and that will help reduce some of the nutrients also some sea grasses work

    I believe coralline grows under basically any amount of light just in dif colors cause i have it in my fuge which is under 2 15 watt pc's but it grows better in my 55 gallon which is 2 metal halides and 3 15 watt atinic bubls..... if you want a lot make sure you dose with a lot of calcium...it...

    mmm i don't think it is bleached my sabae is the same color and has been healthy and growing for a few months now (it is white but it doesn't have purple tips unfortunetly) I could be wrong though but it is just my experience
