hmmm......you really should dose calcium for the hammer but the xenia doesn't need it... The brighter light may be effecting it cause it was under low light before.....try lowering it to the sand and gradually bringing it to the top. if it doesn't get better after that try dosing iodine Good...

glad to have helped and to your other question..... i think RO/DI water is an essential aspect in a healthy tank, because it helps your aquarium look its best by providing the closest to natural look (remember you still have to add trace elements, strontium, calcium, and i sugest iodine...

you can get a single mh pendant and that should be good light....coralife makes a good 175 watt but if your tank is deeper than 24" than i would go with 250 watt

in my oppinion no tank needs much of a clean up crew....all they do is take waste and make more waste by pooping it out....if you have an algae problem at all i would suggest going to the source of the problem and removing the phosphate put if you can't manage to keep it down i would go with...

aren't you trying to create natural reef tank with all natural stuff....in nature that many fish aren't in such a small area....for skimmerless system i would go with a smaller bioload...just my 50 cents If you start seeing some pollution problems i would remove some of the fish and inverts Good...
