My anenome is touching one of my mushrooms .....there seems to be no stress on the mushroom...isn't the anenome suppose to sting???? should i worry about it?

my door swings inside too......one thing that i installed is a magnet on the inside of door and on the roof inside the hood...that way the magnets stick when you open it and you don't have to hold it...... Just thought maybe that would be something you want to add....it helps me Brad

It could burn your corals if not in place....do you live near D.C...................cause i know a few reefers that live in upper VA and i would be more then glad to help you out

the 6,5k aren't but a month old so they are still intense

I would have to say maybe sps corals....i don't know that much about vho but it seems like it would be pretty good light just not as intense as MH

isn't it jsut the same as moving a coral from your tank to another (like trading frags)...tehy never die when that happens is it fine if i start out with 4 hours then 6 then 8 then 10 then 12

thats alright i was a bigginer once too.....sps are small polyped stony corals...they are very hard to keep the other corals include Lps, large polyped stony corals, mushroom corals, zoos, and saft corals if you go on cough** ---- they have 12k and 14k usually i jsut purchsed 12k

well you can feed them everyday....I do and have low phospate and nitrate...but the key is jsut a little pinch of food for a lot fish everyday :thinking: Hope your algae problem subsides Brad

i lowered my temp from 82 to 80 and raised my salinity a little(happened when i first set up my tank)......this got rid of it Brad

mine lost a limb once.....it grew back in about 2 or 3 months
