The pumps and skimmer are three years old. They were set up in one tank then left alone. I would like to get $160 for the skimmer and $50 for each pump. I'll sell all three for $240. All three pumps have been taken appart and cleaned.

If you have a tank full of live rock and a sump with bio balls are you converting twice the amount of amonia or are you actually doing something wrong? People say to take the bio balls or bio wheels out of your filters when you have a lot of live rock. Is this true and why is it true?

I don't understand how people have such algae problems. I don't have great lighting (just two powerglows) and about 6 snails in the 30 and I can't even get it to grow.

How do they do in current? My 55 has a huge powerhead and wil soon have the flow from the sump as well. So the tank will have a lot of water flow. Do mandarins do better in a slow current or can they handle it?
