Ok I made a hood installed the retrofit kit of 48" VHO's and when I plugged it in I heard a little snap. However this was even before I turned it on when I turned it on nothing happened. Anyone know what's going on Do VHO's need time to warm up?

Wet/Dry Ques I have an amiracle wet/dry I would like to know how high should the water be. Should the 1/4 of the bio-balls be submersed in water or should the water line be just under the bio balls??

There has to be water in the U-tube otherwise no siphon So I'm not sure what you mean. The siphon was already started with no bubbles in the U-tubes I'd like to know how to prevent it???

Plan on using a Mag 5 (I'm not changing) and I'm putting PVC pipe in for the return however how powerful is the mag 5 and about how long should the PVC pipe be in order to get maximum amount of pressure. I don't want to make the pipe to long in the tank b/c then I feel I wouldn't get enough...
