I have a Valentini and have had no problems with him eating ANY inverts what so ever....as long as you keep them fed they should be fairly okay.

I would suggest to treat the fish for ich, and take care of that problem, and it should take care of the "not eating" problem.

You would need a tank that was like 200 or more gallons for that, and pretty much no other species of fish.

I would say yes to the Emporer 400, as long as it has good bacteria and you are pulling it out of another aquarium.....if it hasn't been running in a while the same thing will happen that has happened with your canister filters.

What happens when all that bacteria dies is that the ammonia goes up.....I would removed the "problem" filter media and replace it with fresh and start over again. What type of fish do you have in your tank, because you may be looking at some problems if you're not careful.

I'm thinking that it is because of my protein skimmer, it is a Seaclone 100 and I think that the Maxi-Jet 1200 pump is getting rather tired, it hasn't skimmed anything for about 2 weeks now, so I'm getting a new pump tomorrow....we did a tap water check and it says the phosphate level is...

If they are allowed in hospitals, how can they ban that in a non-health care facility...the law is crap and I would fight it tooth and nail.
