    My TS Leather is now going on almost 1 week close. Everything else in the tank is healthy and before this this coral was expanding daily and appered to be growing. I know they go thru rest period but what can be a normal amount close before one should start to worry?

    We have grass shrimp in the waters here in Cape Cod. By reading the link above I can tell you i'm 100% sure its the same species. They grow to about 1 to 1 1/2 inches and are almost clear .     salinity levels?

    I like mine at 1.025 the best way to change it is slow. Just mix some water and salt to about 1.017 then use that to replace water that evaporates. As the water evaporates and you replace with salt water your levels of salt content will rise. Again, do it slowly.

    I'm no expert but what I have heard is just remove it with your hands but be very careful not to burst it in the tank since it will release spres that will then compound the problem by creating more.

    Ok then please expand. I have been monitoring this web site for only 4 weeks but I have seen the number 3-5 Watts per/G . My math shows that I have about 4.5 Watts /G. That should put me in the range everyone shoots for. Id PC Watts different then VHO or MH watts?

    I have the same question. In my case I have 130W of PC. 1 65W 10K bulb and one 65 W Actinic. The tank is only 29 G currently have soft corals but was very interested in gettin a open brain or frog spawn . Can this be done?
