Thats what i was thinking also. I can just get to the bottom of a 24, on a 30" id have my shoulder in the water. Turningtim, what should i make sure the tank has to be reef ready? Is regular cross bracing ok or should i be trying to get euro bracing?

I know nothing about big tanks. What do i need to make sure it has to be a reef tank? It has two overflows, what else?

Im getting a new tank to set up as a reef. I can get either a 210 g 72Lx30Dx24W or a 180g 72x24x24. They are both the same price($20 difference). The only problem i have with the 210 is the depth. Will it affect my lighting if i want clams or spr with my lps. Im getting 3x250mh 4x96pc...

Is it normal to have a bigger fuge than sump? i thought it was the other way around? what are the pros/cons of relative size of fuge and sump?

Nm reef, what size sump and fuge would you recommend for a 210g reef?

Does it matter where the overflows are? My friend said that they are better in the middle than in the corners. Ive seen 2 different 210g and 1 has the overflows in the corner and one has them set more towards the middles. He says you get better flow more towards the middle. Is this right?

What would you say is a decent price range for a reef ready 210g 72x30x24 with a nice stand and hood?

It looks like the tank im getting is 72Lx30Dx24W, 210 gallons. You dont think the 3x250mh 4x96pc coralife lights will work for that? 30 inches deep is too deep for that light? Id have mostly lps but some sps and maybe clams.

Glass, looks like i may have to scale back to a 180g though, 72x24x24. I plan to get a 72" metal halides(coralife 1134w) I am still looking at maybe a 72x30x24 or a 72x24x30. Will that extra 5" of height or width have an adverse affect on that lighting?

How much LR and Ls do you have? In my 36g, i have about a 3 inch sand bed and 50 lbs of lr. I have about 20 hermits, 10 turbos and 5 nassarius. The hermits and turbos seem perfect for my amount of LR. I couls use 6-8 more nassarius though.

Not familiar with the brand but it looks like its pulling a pretty good skim Putting a bigger pump on is tricky from what ive heard. The flow will probably be too strong and reduce the effectiveness of the skimmer.

72x24x24 sounds pretty good. Do you guys have a recommendation for brand and approx. price?

40-50 nitrates wont kill your shrooms, at least not for a long time but you do need to get your ammonia down to 0 as soon as possible. Has it always been above 0? did something die in the tank?

Most likely he isnt eating it, just eating algae off the new rock. Its annoying but most likely wont hurt anything and after a day or two , they get all the new goodies off of it and leave it alone.
