sorry no pic. But its the overflow box design you see when you look up weir overflow which has the syphon tube made out of acrylic that goes the length of the design with the 2 plates one on inside and one on the drain to keep the syphon. I think the 2 flaws i have right now that i need to fix...

i have homemade weir overflow box. First question is how reliable are they and 2nd question is how to keep it from breaking syphon. Last question is i had it on the back for a few minutes and it was really loud how to get it to be quite. Thanks for the help Dave

so your saying i need a different return pump i can just run it from the skimmer to dump back into my tank. Hole is 1.5" in the overflow

I need some help with plumbing. I just tried to plumb my refugium using a weir overflow box which was very noisy with a slurping noise down to my refugium. THe fuge is a 30 gallon tank than i had a mag 7 pump pumping the water into a top fathom TF200A skimmer than it was supposed to go back up...

i only plan on adding 10 pounds i figured i would try and buy some rubble rock from the LFS just to add to the fuge where the water drains in from the main tank. After that goes over i may try and get some extra from someone here on the classifieds. Thanks everyone for the input

Im in the process of redoing my tank. If i purchase live rock that is already cured how much could i add at one time without having a problem. Going to add some to main tank but mostly in the 30 gallon fuge im building. THanks for the help
