In my experiences with turbo snails they just seem to die on their own sometimes. I have had this happen as well and my levels and everything else was just fine.

I had one a while ago and I just placed it in the bottom of the tank on the sand bed. It did just fine there.

If you were to mix in that tank (I don't think I would put even one) I think that a hippo tang and a Kole tank go execellent together!
