Something I never thought of until now that I am setting up a nano. The tank is a 12g but after rock and equiment it only took 8g of water so should I do all the math for 8 or 12g? Thanks, Janet

Just a small jump in on this thread. But is it ok to not get a cycle?? I started a 150g on 7-19 using some sand from existing 37 and just about 20g of water from other tanks. Last week I added two small fish I caught at the beach ( I think they are French grunts I had one for years that lived...

If I put the live sand from the established tank will it all just die off??
