    dip tests

Thanks everyone for your thoughts...I guess an hour a week (or two) for all the money I have spent is no big deal. Some things are just too good to be true.

    125 reef

Great tank...how do you keep your tang from munching all your macros? No matter what I do, he seems to know that is the leafy stuff I don't want him to eat.

Totally Klingon Bird of Prey - You're not going to believe this

Great Link! It was enough for me to go bother my dad to get off his chair and come see.

    Help Identify

Looks to me like a bristleworm. They have a bad reputation, but most now feel they are a valuable part of any reef system. They'll live off extra food and help keep things clean. I don't have one, but I'd pay money if a store ever sold them.

Bubbles on the top of DSB??

I would suggest you avoid sand sifting and horse shoe crabs with a dsb...they will eat up all the critters in your dsb and it will not function properly. Do a search on cyno and hair algae...that should get you started.

    tried triops?

I am teaching kindergarten this year and wanted to do something kind of cool and different and found an add for triops. It looks pretty easy...has anyone ever tried these guys? Could they go in my reef after a while? Are they really short lived? Any expirences you have had would be great...

    if I remove my bioballs...

I have been thinking of removing my bioballs out of my wet/dry for some time now. I have a dsb and 125 lbs. of lr, so I am not worried about the filtration, but I am worried about the noise. I have my tank in my bedroom, a decision that I sort of regret, so I do not want to hear the sound of...

    dip tests

I was just reading another post on here about red sea tests and how difficult they can be to read...they also take forever to do them all. Does anyone use any kind of those dip test strips? I always assumed they were too good to be true and avoided them. Does anyone stand behind them and...

    large condii for trade

I have a florida condy anenome that I traded with another member for and now it is just too large for my system. My clown wants nothing to do with it and it limits the swimming space for everybody else. I is about the size of a volleyball when fully inflated. I have a 75, so I would think you...

    OT: Go Cubs !!!

I am a little late getting in on this, but the Marlins really outplayed my dear Cubs. Baker made the starters throw too many innings and it came back to bite them. I just hope none of these guys get hurt. About the fan...you really have to feel bad for the guy. It wasn't like he was the only...

    Spooks & goblins & ghosts....

Find one that looks like the Virgin Mary and you could make a fortune...I'd better give my tank a once over just in case.

    $460?

I would check the papers and internet and such for a used one. For that kind of money you could really do well if you don't mind not getting to peal off the tags.

How many Crabs do you all keep

I have seen my bluelegs eat each other, scarlets, snails, and a fighting conch. I still have a bunch of them...I would guess about 30, plus 8 scarlets and 10 zebras. They can and will kill things, even if they are full and have a ton of shells. I don't know why, whether it is to eliminate...
