I had the smae thing as you but a 400. All I did was keep un-plugging the power cord and plugging it back in. I did that untill it got quite for me. Sounds dumb but it worked for me.
Power Outages suck! If my power goes out it may just screw up sump! I just tweaked it excellent on Friday, one little touch could make the sump go crazy and flood.
Email me at onecoolfishboy@yahoo.com and I can help you out with finding some great looking eels . MY computer is down so I'm using my dad's computer. It may take awhile before mines gets up and running.
Sweet. Theres a place like that where I live about 90miles south. Do you have proper lights on your main tank to keep algae? Why wont you keep it in the display tank? The algae needs light.
Ah, as you can see the ammonia breaks down in to the nitrites then into nitrate. Is thios a new tank? If so its still cycling just wait it out. When the nitrite is - 0 do a good water change.
I know exactly how you feel. When I was tying to set up my sump my hair was
like this ---> :scared: . Just take your time dont rush and if all else fails....call the aquarium maintenance people cause thats what I did .
hmm...... I dont know. What eel(s) are you thinking about getting? There maybe a possibility of the eel attacking the flame angel., but not really sure.
The pirce for a hawiian dragon moray can cost more then $500 but they are extordinary! I had 2 eels in my 55gal, snowflake and chainlink. You could do two but you got to remember that you wont beable to put alot of fish in your tank, 1) eel may eat it 2) Overstocking.
Heres what I would do:
-eel...
Snowflake and chainlink(very active, chainlink isn't as active as sfe), dragon moray (very sweet, but $$$$), goldentail (have one, very cool looking, but very shy). There's some to look at .
As long as its not by the return pump should be fine. I herd some people say wash it in a cup of saltwater to get all the critters out, there maybe some bad critters in the chaeto.
