    Lights for my acrylic tank??

What I meant by "Any type of corals" was just that....ie..."if you'd like to keep even the hardiest corals that require minimum lighting, you would require at least power compact lights. just to clarify things

    Lights for my acrylic tank??

Well you need at least power compact lights for any types of corals. You can purchase them off ---- for under a hundred bucks and they work nicely. The only thing is that you'll have to clean your tanks often because a lot of unwanted algae grows from them because they're designed to help...

    HELP!!!! Pre-cured rock--NOT

I'd say take the rock out and let it sit in some saltwater and cure it again. Your tanks gonna cycle and all your fish will die. Take the rock out and cure it...then do water changes to save your fish...your tank wont cycle really bad if you keep chnaging your water. During shipping, that...

    Tank Lighting

I'm actually quite suprise your little sea critter is still alive and growing. I would suggest about 5-7 watts per gallon based on how deep your tank is...the deeper it is the harder it is for light to penetrate so you need more wattage. My brother started a 90 gal reef and he has a 400 watt...

close to set up. what do I do now?

Well I'd like to first suggest putting out an additional 60$ and buying a cheap RO/DI filter off of ----....works extremely well...Then i'd mix the salt and the ro/di water in the tank first...let it circulate for about 2 days then add the sand. You wont be able to see anything for about 4 days...

    Lighting Suggestions

I've started with just agressive fish and have moved onto live rock with agressives and now with corals....My suggestion would be just to go ahead and get 2x175 metal halide or a 250 metal halide with a 70$ jebo 4foot power compact. Having just VHO's or PC's will leave you feeling deficient...

    180 gallon

Yea its great isn't it when u see em wrestle for food like that....I hand feed my wrasses (6 inch tusk & 7 inch lunare) with prawn shrimps. They both jump out of the water and nip at each other a lil to get to it. The only thing i'm worried about is either one may jump right out of the tank...

    75 to a 240 gallon

  Sharks are great if you have an enormous tank, but like the person before me stated, they're not as enjoyable as fish in a smaller tank. Besides they need a lot of sandbed so you'd have to keep it to under 100lbs of lr. I'd suggest keeping your stock of fish, adding an...
