pygmy angel and red tree sponge

I was wondering if a pygmy angel would eat and destroy a red tree sponge if I put the two in my system? If the answer is yes, are there any other types of dwarf angels that would not harm a sponge? Thanks a lot.

    F@#$#ng Red slime

I struggled with red slime for a long time...I finally broke down and got an r/o unit and I haven't seen it since. If you use a phosphate sponge you can starve the stuff to death.

OK, overdue...JakePilot! MikeGronholz! Where are you!?!?!?!?!

I think I saw jakepilot run onto the field at U.S. Cellular Park (Comiskey) a few weeks back. I am glad he took a beating, but he really needs help with these attention issues.

    sand sifting crabs?

I am looking at putting together a U-build it and I was wondering if sand sifting crabs are reef safe? I have a dsb and think these would be cool, but not if they eat everything in my dsb. Any expirence with these little guys?

    I Love my Prizm

Thinking? I didn't think starfish had brains. I have one that loves to sit in the return hose from my refuge and cause it to overflow in the wee small hours of the morning.

Yellow Tang eating antennas off shrimp

My yellow just started this same behavior. I guess he got sick of attacking my feather dusters:mad: The only thing that I feel I can do is give the shrimp enough places to hide. I do not want to get rid of the tang, but he does have some unfortunate habits.

    first fragging

I just fragged my first coral, an umbrella mushroom, and I have a few questions...I cut the thing into roughly fourths in a bowl outside my tank. Should I put it right back in the tank or allow it to heal a bit? It has little pieces floating around--will these too become a seperate coral and...

    fragging umbrella mushrooms

I have done all the searches and such and I cannot find any advice on fragging these guys. I have a large one that ate one of my fish and I want to quarter it. Should i just cut it down the middle, the cut going through the "mouth" or does it matter? Is it just like any other mushroom? Any...

    a good combo?

I plan on removing my damsels sometime in the near future. It will be a pain, but they are lame and nasty. I was thinking of adding a pygmy angel and a flame hawk. I currently have a yellow tang, tomato clown, ps. diadema, and a lawn mower blenny. Will those extra two additions be too much...

    Yikes! Help!

My brother managed to break our camera, but I ordered it from here and that is what they told me it is. My tank seems okay after all this. I think I will frag the coral into much smaller pieces and keep faster moving fish.

    Yikes! Help!

I just managed to get most of the fish out. He wasn't too badly eaten, just part of his side. I wish swf.com gave me a heads up when I ordered this thing (I bought the mandarin here too). I guess I will have to remove the coral. This is unacceptable behavior. Is there any chance of other...

    Yikes! Help!

I just tried to remove it and it came out in tiny chucks. Should I take the whole coral out (and the huge chunk of lr it lives on) or should I just let it be? Anyone please!

    Yikes! Help!

I just came from work and was doing a little water change when I discovered, to my horror, that my umbrella mushroom coral was in the process of eating my mandarin. This is bad enough, but I have read that they are poisionous and I am worried this could mess up my tank. What should I do...

What Goes On At Night In Tank!!!

Hey Kim--have you had any problems with your cbs? I think they are really cool, I just worry about the stories you hear about them from time to time. Thanks. Evan

    hang on refugium

I have one and I like it...bought a little 13 watt pc to clip on top of it. The only problem I had was with the pump it comes with. It is a lame little Rio number and was loud, weak, and broke after a few weeks. I replaced it with a better powerhead and it is filled with pods and macro. The...

    I want a Mandarin

I agree with just about everybody. I was in the same position you are in back in December. My tank was 6 months old, I had 115# lr, dsb, and a brand new refuge. I decided the tank was good enough to add one of these...I wish I hadn't. He is still alive, but he looks really skinny and his...

    what is this???

looks like some green ricordia to me. they are cool little corals that don't require too much work. They sell them here so you can take a look at a pic in u-build it.
