    Clownfish and Toadstool at Night

My guess is yes. If she is using it as a night time host, she will likely soon use it full time. She should also let her partner in at some point. She is just showing her dominance and making sure its all in order

Is there any other foods for fry?

IME, you will need live rotifers (your own continuous cultures) to have much success. Your game plan seems to be a little off but I am sure that you will see that when you get to reading the book that you have. It is an EXCELLENT book for learning to raise clowns.

which anemone for a TP clown?

Hi Sweetie, I agree with the others as a BTA being one of teh best choices even though its not a "natural host" for percula clowns. Natural hosts are Heteractis crispa; H. magnifica; Stichodactyla gigantea.. H.mag, and S.gigantea are 2 of the most difficult anemones to keep alive. The crispa...

    help with LTA(911!)

From the picture it looks like it is regurgitating some food that was too large, but I guess it could also look like the puffer attacked it. If the former, give it a little time and it should look better. See if you can get a better pic that isnt quite so blurry Also from the pic it appears to...

My experiment with Heteractis Magnifica start today!!

The thread should stay open so people can see how not to act. No need to lock it, just let it die.. Dont be too hard an the poor lil fella. He is obviously very young and has a poor up bringing. Its probably not his fault His parents probably arent raising him but they are letting the computer...

    Another Clownfish?

I have seen them spawn as early as 4 months, but dont think its a question that has a definite answer.. Kinda like humans.. How long after a man and women meet will it take them to spawn.. Sometimes a few hours.. sometimes years..

    clown fish sick?

Its most likely a melanism from accepting something that is not a natural host to the clowns. Its not harmful. The copper probably causes more harm than the black dots. Are they hosting is some frogspawn, zoanthids, mushrooms?

Best place to find mated clown pair?

I agree that getting 2 juveniles is the way to go because buying and transporting a pair may upset their spawing schedule and they might not spawn for 2 years anyway. If your really wanting a mated pair. I would check with Inland Aquatics.

    sebae acting strange

Ahh.. Its good that your dosing with a 2-part suppliment. Levels are definitely acceptable, but th ealk/CA is slightly out of wack.. I would add a little more of the CA part for 2-3 days to bring them a little more back in line, but dont sweat it too much because your not too far out of wack...

    anemone tank

It can take many months for them to regain zooxanthallae and the short tenticles are a sign the anemone is "consuming itself" to avoid starvation. Keep feeding small particles of a good food loaded with HUFAs.
