    clowns arent growing.

Its been forever since i have used Formula 2( I HATE the gel binders) but I am pretty sure that its mostly herbs and brine shrimp is like a snickers bar.. Taste damn good but not much nutrition there. So your fish arent getting much in the way of protein. They are omnivorous so youll need a...

    sebae acting strange

I am not quite sure that you have a "sebae" anemone or either of the 2 that are called sebae. I could be wrong (hard to tell from just those 2 pics) but I am fairly confident that you have a M.doreensis (AKA LTA), whish is also a sand dweller. Are those "chicken-skin like bumps" (verrucae)...

Lighting Question. need a bit o help PLEASE

There are many lighting options and many of them can work well depending on which anemone that you choose. Certain anemones can do well with less than intense lighting, and some will require much more.. even the different "carpet" species have different lighting needs. An S.hadoni could do...

my first time on this thread, I just glanced at the pics and just glanced a bang guys post and thought aptasia. After a closer look and read, Aptasia is probably not the correct answer (my bad.. (bad eyes on a blurry pic) Bang guys ID is probably correct (too blurry for me)

    Clown acting funny

it sound like the original clown is protecting its host and saying " Hey these are MINE ". When I feed, I like to thaw the food in a cup of tank water ( Same with flake if I ever used it) and then I squirt it in with a turkey baster. You could try the same thing and then be sure to squirt some...

    Carpet anemones and there Clowns

there are atleast 5 species of "carpet anemones". and they all have different needs. Some of them are considered easier to keep, and some of them are supposed to be almost impossible. S. hadoni, (often refered to as green carpet) is the easiest of the hosting carpets. I have seen may kept...

    lighting and carpet anemones

There are a few different species of "carpet" and they have different needs. An S. hadoni could probably be fine in your set up, but I would steer clear of S.gigantea and S.mertensi.

    Anemone Id Needed

The anemone in question is a Condylactis . Not an M.doreensis. M.doreensis would have clearly visible verrucae. And the color of an anemone is never a way to ID any anemone. A condy is not a natural host for any clowns and will sometimes make a meal out of you clowns, but there are occasions...
