From what I understand, it doesn't matter as to what type you get. It is just a matter of color preference. Though I have heard that you should stay away from the 7500K bulbs.

Since it will be fish only, you should be fine with NO (Normal Output) lighting. Just regular flourescents.

If they are all VHO bulbs then the wattage getting into the water should be the same regardless of if you run one blue and one white, or if you run 2 blues. I would say that it is personal preference as to what color you want everything to show up as during the sunrise and sunset periods, but...

Is this a fish only tank or do you have corals and such? Are you doing this to simulate the sunrise and sunset?

I wouldn't recommend getting chromises. I have a Clarki and he likes to bully my 3 chromises. They stay in hiding now, except when it is time to eat. He doesn't much bother my other fish: Blue Tang, Neon Goby, Citroni Goby, Royal Gramma and Yellowtail Damsel

I agree with Mikeyjer. With that small amount of water, any little thing could really throw you tank off tremendously.

I live about 35 miles from Atlanta. I haven't been there, but I have driven by it and it is huge. From what I understand, you need to buy your tickets before you decide to go. It is very possible that you won't get a ticket if you just walk up. Seems like it stays packed.
