    shrimp compatability

I would not recommend one. Pistol shrimp can be aggressive and in a tank that small it would just be a matter of time before other inverts start to vanish.

    Aggressive or not?

I'd put money on the purple tip, but have you considered a possible hitch-hiker... mantis or gorilla crab?

Algae Eaters For A 10g Sand Bed???

Your tank is too small for a sand sifting star. It will eat all of the micro-fauna in your sandbed and then starve. The algae you are describing sounds like diatoms. They are common in new tanks and will go away with time. Increasing flow may speed up this process. The nass. snails are...

bicolor and flame angel in a 60gal FOWLR?

That's a pretty risky maneuver, but I think it really depends on the individual fish. I tried adding a bi-color to my 150, my flame immediately declared war. I've seen it work, just keep a close eye on them if you try.

    brittle star predator?

Green brittle stars will hunt out and eat healthy fish. If it is not a green brittle, something was more than likely wrong with the fish.

    Help

Ask your LFS for the names of local reef clubs. Local clubs are great for trading fish and frags. Read up on fish before you get them, lunare wrasses are pretty aggressive and get fairly large.

    Purpose of anemone crab?

My clowns share a large(about 8-9 inches across) gbta with porcelain, no problems. If the anemone is big enough there should not be a problem. Horseshoe crabs get HUGE. I'd go ahead and scratch that off your list. Never had a teddybear but i've heard they can be quite aggressive.

    New to this hobby

That's a pretty broad question but reading the stickies in the "new hobbyist" section should help immensely. Since you found the tank I'd recommend testing it for copper. I'd also return the puffer as it will outgrow your tank, they are messy eaters and a large bio-load on a 55(unless you have...

    New Harlequin Tusk

The philipine tusk are generally cyanide caught, and therefore have a dismal survival rate, hence the low price. Australians will have blue teeth, more blue in the body and a much much higher cost. My LFS will only carry Aussie tusk but I assume they are pretty simliar. Mine is pretty...

    TANG: Yes or NO

The key is to buy a healthy specimen from a LFS that specializes in saltwater fish only, not the *****, petland chain type stores and have a tank that is at least 6 feet. I have a purple, regal, and powder blue in my 150 with no problems. I am lucky in the fact that I have a great LFS that...
