Yes it does. I just removed it. Some polyps came off too and the polyps that came off looked hollow inside.

I have a carpenter flasher wrasse and I feed him pellets and he loves bay scallops soaked in garlic. The rest of my fish eat the same and once in awhile I give them spirulina flakes.HTH

I think one is some sort of snail. No clue what the other is. Hopefully you can see them.

Its hard to say what to do now until you can find out how much iodine is in the tank.

Were the sails new additions to the tank? Ifso how did you acclimate them. How much iodine have you been adding and for how long.

How does your surface water look? Does it got a film on it or is it nice and clear and rippling a little bit?

Make sure when you add anything to your tank you test before you add and after. When adding any additives you should test you ph and alk because alot of additives will affect them.

You dont have to. I do a research on anything I buy and keep to the ones that only have lighting and flow for a diet. HTH

Point a powerhead at the water surface to get a good water oxygen exchange and see if that helps.

You dont have to add calcium to your tank with a fowlr. Water changes will replemish enough calcium and trace elements to sustain your coraline on your rocks. If you are looking for more coraline growth you can add calcium to your tank. Right now I add nothing to my tank. I do weekly...

Great looking tank. I had a flame but with only feeding the fish every other day I couldnt keep him fat. I gave him to a friend who has a larger tank and a more frequent feeding schedual. Pretty flame though.
