Hello! Are you still interested in trading for some purple/blue shrooms? I have plenty but wanted to go in order that people asked in this thread. Let me know. https://www.saltwaterfish.com/vb/show...58#post1340858

Does anyone have Electric Blue mushrooms?

The biggest one I have is around 6" diameter when fully open. It likes to "stretch" around, tilting from side to side. Bronco, there are a few people ahead of you to trade, but we still have plenty.

    Making a Refugium

I think I see the difference now, Hurt. My pump area water level is usually lower than the fuge. This was to allow for more volume in the fuge while preserving as much space for water to come back to the fuge in a power outage. Different setup, sorry! Please continue. . . . .

    Making a Refugium

If it comes over the top of the third wall at the same height, then it behaves the same as if the first 2 baffles wern't in there?! The idea (i thought) was to draw the water from under the second baffle and any air bubbles created from the water falling over the first baffle would return to...

Does anyone keep fish in their refugium?

That may just be a matter of preference, like the fish. The main function of the fuge is to isolate things from the main tank. I wouldn't think they were NEEDED to remove algae/nutrients-that's what the macro is for. (I'm assuming you're putting macro algae in there.)

    Making a Refugium

THe third wall isn't needed. If ya do use it, though it should be much shorter, otherwise the water will have to "fall" down to the level inside the pump compartment causing MORE bubbles. It takes up space also. I don't use the third wall and it's just fine. I remembered seeing an old thread...

Does anyone keep fish in their refugium?

What's up Money? I think I know who's fuge you're talking about. NMReef? His looked more like a display than most peoples displays!!! I'd say as long as they don't pig-out on whatever you're trying to grow(like macro), then Go for it. I've thought of upgrading our lighing and trying to...

    scarlet hermits

I realized after several weeks of watching my clean up crew that they are not designed/intended to stay in your tank indefinitely at the number recommended. You will probably keep a certain number of each animal but after the initial "cleaning" they kinda work themselves out of a job.

new fish addition tell me what you think?

1: NICE FISH MURPH!! 2: If ya need to get rid of some coral . . . I could take those off your hands . . 3: What kind of wood does a carpenter wrasse use? I've not seen any wood in a SW tank. :notsure: 4: I live in the "Boonies" (I love it btw) and they are located somewhat east of ya'll.

Post them here so everyone can enjoy. I have very little SW experience. Most everyone else here knows WAY more than me and can help if ya need it. I would like to see your pics when you get the new lights and rock. When you get ready to trade some coral, let me know! greengatefarm@netzero.com

    What livestock can i have?

Ya gotta love the clowns. I like the 4th frame. He's like, "Hey, what are you looking at?" Is that and Emporer filter? They move a lot of water for a tank that size. Are you going to get some more rock? What's the plan?

    What livestock can i have?

Sure! :joy: If you are like a lot of folks on here (myself included), then you'll take some digital pics of your tank. I have some when I first started to put rock in it!! I got to tell you all that the first smell of salt when I opened the bucket of instant ocean hooked me. Anyway, yeah...

    Making a Refugium

TO secure the baffles, I used 100% clear silicon caulk. Just run a bead on either side of the joint where it meets the glass. Give any thought to 2-10 gallons?

    What livestock can i have?

If you have a "full spectrum" bulb, it probably has a lot of yellow in it. The Fishieness is right on: If you have yellow, be prepared to see some nuisance algae growth. The PC's are definately worth the wait, BUT you CAN keep a few things under NO's. You will just have to make some...
