    A trigger fish will take care of that problem and so will a 6 line wrasse. Those are more effective time-wise than a coralbanded shrimp since they can eat more at a faster rate.

    oh that solves it then. You have a dead spot in your tank where all the nutrients sink. You need more flow in that area. Solves that.

    I don't really know. I know for a fact that this would not occur in a healthy tank. So there is something wrong in yours. Because this doesn't happen very much at all.
