i bought a 5 gal and tested the water. the water is on point. all the params are on point. it is real expensive to buy for every water change but i think it would be good for a new cycle?

I was wondering if this was any good. Its pretty expensive. what are the advantages of using real ocean water and synthetic mixed water? pros and cons of both?

yeah it was a little high because of the evaporation...after i changed the water i measured it and it was fine...

help?

i did the suggested 15% water change and the params right after the change are as follows: PH: 7.8 Ammonia: 2.0 Nitrite: 5.0 Nitrate: 20 SG 1.025 Temp: 81 The ammonia has gone down a bit...all others are still the same...is that how its supposed to be? will the other levels go down in time?

complete water change or just a partial?

i tested the PH @ around 6:30 pm Pacific. I'm using all the stock equipment in my 24g Nano. Should i add something else?

Hi i recently got a 24 Gal JBJ Nano Cube for a present. I have never set up a saltwater tank. I have had a couple fresh water tanks with oscars, goldfish, etc. in em. My question is how do i cycle the tank? My local store owner suggested to put live sand: approx 30lbs, live rock approx 10-15 lbs...
