This is what it looks like

So my problem is not how much water I am pushing UP, but how much is falling DOWN? Will changing the pipe size work? To 3/4 or 1 inch? If so, which would be better?

My tank is 75g. With the mag 950 and only 3 feet of lift, I am moving about 800gph. I have a hurricane in the tank (still have the magdrive running). The noise of moving water is so loud, everyone goes to the bedroom to watch TV. My very quiet canister filter on my 37g tank is looking pretty...

More bubble pics

OMG! I think I did it!!! Now I'll have to copy your post Scotts so I can do it again!!! Anyway...as you can see...zillions of micro bubbles on left side. Most go away by the time they get to the right side, but when the pump gets them, they multiply and get spit back into DT. It...

Still working on the pic thing.

Most of the zillions of micro bubbles seem to be originating in the chamber with the blue bioballs. Does the sump/fuge need these or would it not help to get them out?

I've been working most of the day to figure out how to post pics. I took some good pics, but as far as I can get with them is the place they go on the computer (not a computer wizard here). If I ever get this figured out, I'll post. As for the force of the flow, I was talking about the water...

Now that my lights are up, maybe the "sand" flying is zillions of tiny bubbles? What can stop this? Is my pump too powerful...9.5 mag drive on a 75g with about 4 feet to lift.

Upgrading to my new 75g drilled tank has been a nightmare! My first mistake was not double checking the bulkheads . After filling the entire tank, I discovered a leak and had to drain the entire tank and clean up the mess. Fixed the problem and refilled. Turned on the pump in the fuge and...

MonaLisa, thanks for the link . I probably won't be switching tanks until mid April or so. As I said, a friend is building the stand and canopy, and with working also, I figure it'll take him a good 3 weeks. Then for me to find the time to sand and stain, etc. But that gives me time to start...

PJ cardinals are also not very active. Mine just kind of hoovers most of the time. I can't believe my sweet Bubbles (sixline) would ever eat any of his tankmates. He hangs around the cleaner shrimp to be cleaned. My pj cardinal is more aggressive than my sixline :hilarious:

Just learning myself, but I don't see a problem. The sixline, goby, and basslets are all identified as peaceful. The psuedochromis, however, I think is kinda pushy. That may be why he coped an attitude with the firefish! Too bossy!
