    40 gal ?

Haha. I found my eel. He made a nice home out of my undergravel filter. He looks just fine. That was a close one.

    Porcupine Puffer

I thought my eel was dead so I said my puffer would be my only fish assuming the eel was gone forever. The damsels are left over from cycling but I don't have the heart to kill them. I feed my puffer every other day with shelled shrimp, mussels, clams, and krill. Same for the eel, now that I...

OK, Lets hear the crazy combinations...

I have a porcupine puffer, Lucifer II, and a snowflake eel, Rasputin, and two yellow tailed damsels, Indigo and Violet, all in a 29 gallon tank. Everyone told me it wouldn't work. It's working, and everyone is happy as can be.

    Porcupine Puffer

Yes, same tank. But today I did a water change and the eel suddenly appeared again! It seems as though he has made himself a nice little home under my undergravel filter bed. When I was putting my tank together I accidentally popped out both holes for my UGF and I guess he found the empty one! I...

    Lost Eel!!!!!

Yes. I read a story online of a woman buying a snowflake for her daughter and finding it in white chunks the next morning, flowing out of her filter. I checked inside of mine and there are white chunks of something....but I don't know if it could possibly be eel or just some other sort of build...

    Porcupine Puffer

I know he's going to outgrow the tank, but I'm sure it will take him a very long time to get that big. I'm saving up for a new tank right now though. I'm a senior in high school and I plan to buy a new tank as soon as I permanently move out of the house. I don't plan on ever having coral, it...

    Porcupine Puffer

I have a 29 gallon tank, fish only. I'm definately not ready to keep corals. I have one porcupine puffer who is about three inches long and a few tiny damsels. My porcupine puffer is going to be the only fish in my tank. Is this a good set up? Do they need tank mates? Or will he be fine on his own?

    40 gal ?

No one has replied to my thread either! But I just lost my snowflake eel! He's completely gone, I can't find him anywhere. I've been searching for hours. I'm really scared. I wouldn't recommend a snowflake unless you have experience.

    Lost Eel!!!!!

My eel was in the tank this morning, and just thirty minutes ago I looked for him and he VANISHED! HE IS GONE! I searched under all of the rocks, all behind the plants, in every nook and cranny surrounding the tank, and I even shifted through the sand! Help!! I'm TERRIFIED!

    Input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you everyone. I think I'll buy a small snowflake eel, I can always upgrade my tank and find that cute tang later. : )

    Input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. I might reconsider the tang. Maybe an eel would be a better buy.

    Will these be ok together

I wish I could help you. I don't know anything about royal grammas, chromis, percs, or gobies. But it's nice to know I'm not the only one with a smaller tank. Everyone in these forums seem to have huge reef tanks..

    Input would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 29 gallon fish-only SW tank that has been set up for almost three months now. So far I have 2 blue damsels and a small porcupine puffer. I want to get a tang, and I was considering buying a snowflake eel. Would these all work together? My Porcupine Puffer is about 3 inches long, and my...

    New 29 Gallon

Thanks for the reef advice. I was thinking about buying another tank for reef, but mine will be fish only. Maybe I should've been specific. My Porcupine Puffer is about 3 inches long, and my damsels..well I honestly don't treasure them. They're just good little pops of color left over from my...
