    Full spectrum lighting

Anyone here use full spectrum lighting (6500k) with their 10,000k and actnics? If so how does it look? I've heard and read that using all three are as close as you can get to nature.

    Any structural failures?

If the tank is close to a load berring wall you should be fine. If it is in the middle of a room you could get some sag in the floor joists. If the floor is concrete you don't have to worry at all.

    which canister?

I have the Xp2 on my 75 that I just run carbon in. It is realy easy to clean and very quiet. I have to look into the filter box to see the water moving so I know it is on. Also read the packaging before you buy any canister. The GPH is without any media in the filter and no head loss. Hope...

    Coralife Skimmer, Input Please!

IMO I would get the css125 it is always best to have more skimming power than you think you need. I have the css125 for my 75 gallon and I love it. It works great and it is easy to clean. It's the best bang for the buck. Check on the two doctors site they might have it on sale.

I agree. I had a hydrometer that was way off and I didn't know it until I lost a few fish and started to reseach way they had died.

    I feel stupid!!!

After reading posts on this site for months I still thought I could get away with a plastic hydrometer. After losing 2 clowns I bought a refractometer and found out my salinity was 1.031, all the while my hydrometer ( the deep 2x3 model) was spot on at 1.022. Thanks for letting me vent!
