No fuge and they are transparent

My tank is 6 weeks old no fish yet. I have literally hundreds of these 1/8" to 1/4" transparent "bugs" all over my sand and live rock. Could these "bugs" be some type of pod or are they something else, and are they good or bad? Sorry to small for a picture. Thanks in advance for your replies.

anybody using the aqua c remora pro with the mag 3 and the surface skimmer? The surface skimmer box seems to be a little large. Does the skimmer work ok without it or does the benefits outweight the size of the box?
