I cant answer why the previouis user chose to use 240 instead of 20. All i can tell you is that I have wired that unit b4 and use the 120.

I currently have just one on the side faced longways down the tank that seems to split both sides of the rock formation. It is a 350 gph i think. Do you suggest more than that ?

ok.........im familiar with that............. the wire marked 120 is the wire you want. The others coming out are of no conscern to you. The 120 is the hot and the com is the equivalent to the white wire on the power source. The others are use to wire the socket..........i think they say com...

I have not yet invested in a r/o d/o but i have been using store purchased bottled water in 5 gallon containers. Im not sure what the content of the water is but its typical bottled ( and theoretically free from contaminants) water. Will this do for a while or do i need to speed up the timeline...
