It looks like it's rust but it washes off when I clean the tank. Nothing metal in my tank! What do I do about this??????:confused:

my royal gama does not have spots on the fins. It's all over his body. Mainly the head area. They are big patches that look like he is peeling. :confused:

my fish has spots but they are bigger and fuzzy looking..... they are not small white dots..... any ideas? Or is my fish even sick? new to sw and never had a sick fish before

my fish has white spots that are not well defined and i can only see them at certain angles. Never seen what ich looks like on a fish before and wondering if that may be. It is on a royal gama... only fish in the tank right now with a peppermint xhrimp and a carrot sponge..... sorry i don't have...

To answer questions... I don't do any tests at home yet, I buy my water premade from the lfs, don' t have a hydrmeter either. The lfs tells me if the salt is low when I have the water tested. The new guy did't test for nitrites, only nitrates. And what is the difference between them? I am stuck...

Am i into what??? I am still new to the saltwater thing.... all i know is i want a pretty tank with rocks, corals (dont know the difference between soft or hard), I want everything colorful, pretty fish, and what about the lighting?????? HELP ME PLEASE....:D :confused: :mad:

I don't currently have one. Right now all I have in my 45 gallon tank is 60#ls, needing about 20-30# more lr, carrot sponge, 1 royal gama, and a wet/dry filter for up to 60 gallons. I am planning on returning my livestock and add more rock, let it recycle if necessary and then begin my quest...

The lfs ( a new one ) told me I am supposed to be adding calcium to the water to keep the rocks strong. Well last night a fish died so i moved the rocks to get him out. A part of the rock came lose in my hand. If so; how much? I have a 45 gallon tall with about 25-28 # of lr, 60# ls.

The anenomie was hiding in a hole but came out after it was in the tank. I have tried to feed it dead shrimp that were frozen but it looks like he spit them out kind of like a hairball all stuck together by some sticky looking stuff. What should my water levels be? Lights? He/She doesn't look...
