instead of the Eschmyer's scorpionfish i would just go with the wartskin frogfish. it is equally strange looking and might be cheaper and easier to take care of. i believe it to still be aggresive. i am just saying

I don’t think all of what you said is necessary. Filter with LR would be fine. Not every tank needs a big filter system. 5 watts per gallon is a pretty fair estimate to be able to keep most everything, some say that is on the low side but it depends on what you want to keep. You have a skimmer...

the undulated/queen trigger and mantis have been some of my personal favorites. i also have been considering anglers/frogfish. i know there not the most aggressive but still in my top five list.

the feather duster are pretty normal. i had them sprout up as well. that sepent star could get around 14" and eat your fish if not fed, just keep it fed and you should be ok. i am not possitive but i dont think you should have an air pump in your tank. the "marine penquin" is that you powerhead...

i would definitely have to do a huge octopus or cuttlefish breeder tank. big enough to keep the breeders and raise the young. :thinking:

well a carpet has been know to take down alot of things. but i plan on just have a LTA and an eel. if i put the ell after i would think he could get used to his surroundings. i still have many months to plan and adapt.

but remember dont take anybody's opinion to heart. this is your hobby and do what you will. whatever make you happy that is not cruel to the fish is what you should do.

the same could be said for any angel fish. mine just goes through every hole it can find, but that doesnt mean it dumb enough to go head first in one. i though you had a real reason, not just speculation.

when your xenia was little could you see it growing or just over time you could tell. i just got my first and to tell you the truth i dont really see any growth. :notsure:
