Bubble wands/strips are not good for saltwater fish from what I understand. If you do not have a powerhead then I would suggest one of those for sure. Have you been testing your water parameters? it would help if we could know your salinity, ph, ammonia, nitrites and trates.

I have a Water General. It has a 5 stage RO unit and the DI as well. It comes with the stainless faucet for drinking and a 3 gallon "under the sink" tank. It is rated for 85 gallons per day (GPD). I have had this unit for about 2 months now and love it. It makes awesome drinking water as well...

I do not test phosphates nor do I actually care too. I might in the future though With that said this whole conversation is moot.

beaslbob: Well what size tank do you have and how much plant life do you have in it? What phosphate levels are you running? Is it a Fish only? reef system?

10% weekly water change will only reduce phosphates 10%. Plant life could consume that much in a matter of hours What do you base that information on? There are way too many factors involved for you to make this assumption. I am curious how you derived at such a satement.

Wal mart carries 1 gallon jugs. maybe some carry 5 gallon jugs but mine definately does not have a machine. The 1 gallon jugs cost 58 cents each. Until I got my own RO/DI system I was many a time seen leaving wal mart with 20-30 jugs of the stuff. :D
